A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday as two women lost their lives and three others were seriously injured in a fire aboard a 35-foot pleasure boat in Long Beach, California. The fire ignited near the fuel dock at Alamitos Bay, in the vicinity of the 200 block of Marina Drive, necessitating a robust response from emergency personnel.
According to reports from the Long Beach Fire Department, the fire’s proximity to the fueling area resulted in an immediate and forceful reaction, utilizing both land-based and marine resources. The Orange County Fire Authority was also called in to assist in the operation. The firefighters fought relentlessly against the thick clouds of black smoke and intense flames, eventually bringing the fire under control.
